❓ FAQ: HOHY Club

What is the HOHY Club (Helping Others Help Yourself Club)?
HOHY Club is currently a California sole proprietorship. The Club helps individuals, families, businesses, schools, and nonprofit organizations improve their financial well-being through referral opportunities, awards, benefits, fundraising, and community programs. The owner may consider converting HOHY Club to an LLC in the future.
What is HOHY Club's slogan?
HOHY Club's slogan is "HELPING OTHERS HELP YOURSELF!"
How do you explain "HELPING OTHERS HELP YOURSELF!"?
HOHY Club encourages members to improve their own financial well-being while helping others do the same. Members may earn referral commissions, qualify for awards and scholarships, and support schools, orphanages, and nonprofit organizations through community programs. For details and illustrative examples, please see How the Referral Program Works.
How does HOHY Club generate income to support all its activities?

HOHY Club generates income from the $30 membership fees and applicable re-entry fees paid by GMs and FMs.

When a GM refers a new GM or FM, the GM receives 50% of the applicable $30 membership fee, or $15, as a referral commission. The remaining 50% is allocated as follows: 40% to GM Award, Benefit, and Community Programs, and 10% to HOHY Club operations and staff expenses.

When an FM refers a new GM or FM, the FM receives 75% of the applicable $30 membership fee, or $22.50, as a referral commission. The remaining 25% is allocated as follows: 15% to FM Award, Benefit, and Community Programs, and 10% to HOHY Club operations and staff expenses.

Does HOHY Club use multiple levels for the referral system?
No. HOHY Club uses a one-level compensation system for referral commissions. All referral commissions are generated from direct referrals only.

❓ FAQ: Membership Types

What are the different membership types?

Priority Member (PM): Eligible individuals may apply without an upfront membership fee. A PM is automatically upgraded to GM after earning $30 in qualifying referral commissions, or may become a GM by paying the one-time $30 membership fee.

Gold Member (GM): Earn referral income and qualify for GM Award, Benefit, and Community Programs.

1-Star to 9-Star Gold Member (Star GM): Eligible GMs who place in the Top 10 of qualifying GM Award, Benefit, Community, or Voting Programs may receive a GM Star, subject to the applicable program rules. Each GM Star adds 100 re-entries, up to a maximum of 1,000 re-entries for a 9-Star GM.

Fundraiser Member (FM-): A Fundraiser Member (FM-) is an organization that has enrolled but has not yet accumulated sufficient referral commissions for the initial $30 membership fee to be deducted. Once sufficient referral commissions are available, the $30 membership fee is automatically deducted and the account is upgraded from FM- to FM. No additional action is required from the organization.

Fundraiser Member (FM): Raise funds for your approved organization, earn 75% commissions from qualified direct referrals, and qualify for FM Awards, Benefits, and Community Programs.

What is the difference between a 1-Star and a 9-Star Gold Member?
Eligible GMs who place in the Top 10 of qualifying GM Award, Benefit, Community, or Voting Programs may receive a 1-Star GM promotion, up to a maximum of 9-Star GM status. Each Star level adds 100 re-entry positions, up to a maximum of 1,000 re-entry positions for a 9-Star GM. Earnings depend on successful referrals, participation, and compliance with Club policies and are not guaranteed.
How does the referral system work?
Each eligible member receives a unique referral link associated with the member's MB ID, or you can use your MB ID. When someone signs up using that link or your MB ID and completes enrollment, you may earn referral credit, referral commissions, and Achievement Points, subject to the applicable program rules.
How does the re-entry system work?

An eligible GM completes a membership cycle when 10 qualified new or re-entry GM/FM memberships are credited to the cycle. The GM earns $150, from which the $30 re-entry fee is deducted when the next membership cycle begins. The GM may repeat the process according to the applicable re-entry limit. A GM may have up to 100 re-entries, while a qualifying 9-Star GM and FM may have up to 1,000 re-entries.

An FM earns $225 for completing a 10-member re-entry cycle, from which the $30 re-entry fee is deducted when the next cycle begins.

What are Achievement Points?
Achievement Points are awarded for member referrals and participation in eligible Club activities. They are used to determine Award Program and Benefit Program eligibility, as well as leaderboard rankings. See the Achievement Points page for the complete schedule.
How do I withdraw or redeem my earnings?
You may request a payout once you reach the withdrawal threshold of $100. Instructions can be found in your GM or FM Dashboard under "Referral Commission and Redemption".

❓ FAQ: Awards, Benefits, Community, and Voting Programs

How are GM Award winners selected?
GM Award Programs are open to all GMs; no enrollment is required. The top 100 eligible GMs with the highest Achievement Points at the close of the award period will receive the designated prizes. In the event of a tie in Achievement Points, the earliest entry will be the winner. The top 150 leaders will be listed on the Award Leaderboard from the start date until the award closing date. The leaderboard is refreshed approximately every five minutes. HOHY Club is committed to maintaining a fair and transparent award process.
How do I receive my awards or benefits?
All award and benefit winners will be notified by email after the closing date. HOHY Club will mail out checks along with award or benefit certificates via USPS first-class mail on the 5th of the month following the closing date unless otherwise stated.
For the same kind of GM Benefit Program, can I receive multiple benefit payments?
For scholarship programs, a student GM may receive only one scholarship award per year. If the same member qualifies for multiple scholarship prizes, the additional prize will be awarded to the next eligible member. For other Benefit Programs, the applicable program rules will determine whether a member may receive more than one benefit.
How does HOHY Club prevent members from using invalid PM accounts to unfairly increase Achievement Points?

HOHY Club employs several measures to prevent members from using fraudulent or invalid PM accounts to gain Achievement Points, including:

  1. PM cell phone or email authentication is required for new PM sign-ups.
  2. If a PM signs up and remains inactive for 30 days, HOHY Club will cancel the membership and debit the referring GM 1 Achievement Point.
  3. HOHY Club software includes methods for detecting potentially fraudulent PM accounts.
  4. HOHY Club staff will monitor for abnormal activities among the top leaders.
  5. Any GM proven to use fraudulent PM accounts to gain Achievement Points may face suspension or termination of membership.
What is the difference between an Award Program and a Benefit Program?

GM Award Programs are open to eligible GMs and do not require enrollment. Winners are determined according to the applicable Award Program rules.

GM Benefit Programs have limited participation and require eligible members to enroll. For example, if a Benefit Program offers 100 prizes, HOHY Club may allow up to 300 qualified members to enroll, subject to the applicable program rules.

How do I indicate that I qualify for a GM Benefit Program?

The member indicates the applicable qualification status through the designated HOHY Club enrollment or dashboard process.

HOHY Club generally does not require or verify supporting documents at the time of enrollment.

For example, when enrolling in the Baby Care Benefit Program, you must provide the required information about your eligible child, including the child's name and date of birth. If the information you provide meets the program requirements, you may receive an enrollment number.

Does HOHY Club verify my qualification before I enroll in a GM Benefit Program?

Generally, no. HOHY Club normally permits members to declare their qualification under the honor system, subject to the applicable program rules.

However, certain programs require supporting documentation before a benefit can be issued. If you become a potential winner of one of these programs, HOHY Club may require documentation to verify your eligibility.

For example, a potential winner of the Baby Care Benefit Program may be required to provide a copy of the child's birth certificate to verify the child's age and eligibility before the benefit is issued.

Programs that do not require eligibility documentation will follow their applicable program rules.

When may HOHY Club require verification documents?

HOHY Club may require supporting documentation when eligibility or a benefit amount depends on a particular qualification and may verify qualification before issuing a benefit. Scholarship Programs require the applicable academic documentation.

How do I submit my Smiling Face Drawing?
There are two Smiling Face Drawing (SFD) Programs. Eligible drawings from students participating through FM schools or orphanages are submitted through the applicable FM Smiling Face Drawing (FM SFD) Benefit Program. Eligible GM members may submit their own drawings through the GM Smiling Face Drawing (GM SFD) Competition during the designated submission period. Please see the applicable SFD Program rules for submission requirements and schedules.
Can HOHY Club employees participate in Award, Benefit, or Community Programs?
HOHY Club staff members are not eligible to receive prizes through the Club's Award Programs, Benefit Programs, or Community Programs. Staff members who separately qualify as eligible regular members may participate in the referral commission program, subject to the same applicable referral and re-entry rules as other eligible members.
How are winners announced?
All winners' names and MB IDs will be listed on the Winnerboard after the program closes. HOHY Club will also send an email to each winner.
Can I change my GM qualification later?
Yes. You may update your GM qualification information before enrolling in a GM Benefit Program. Once you have enrolled in a specific Benefit Program, the qualification information used for that enrollment cannot be changed unless permitted by the applicable program rules.
